Organization
- Purchasing is a centralized function in Morris County
- Employees outside the Purchasing Division do not have the authority to commit County funds
- Purchasing Division is located on the 5th floor of the Administration & Records Building on Court Street in Morristown
- Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday
Quote or Bid Specifications
- All formal quotes/bids over $17,500 must be submitted on forms provided by Morris County
- If a vendor cannot bid on all items, the bidder should mark "no bid" on the specific items to be excluded
- In the case of a difference between a bid's unit price and price extension, the unit price shall govern
- In the case of a difference between written words and figures, written words shall govern
- Any deviation from specifications must be noted. Failure to do so implies the specifications as listed are being bid
- Any merchandise received that does not meet specifications will be rejected. Vendors will make arrangement to pick up items at no cost to Morris County
Quote or Bid Timeliness
- Bids will not be accepted after the designated time. Late bids will be returned unopened and will not be considered under any circumstances
- All formal solicitations are opened and read publicly at the date and time noted on the solicitation documents
